Garden Design
From concept sketches to detailed layouts, each design will reflect your vision and budget.
I Can offer designs for all or part of your garden either new or existing gardens that need structure, perspective, scale and proportion added
There is a range of services available, from concept plans all the way up to full detailed plans drawn to scale and associated planting plans
If required, I can provide fully illustrated colour drawings, although I often feel that these are an unnecessary luxury that is not required in order to achieve the end result !
Planting Plans
I can create detailed planting plans tailored to your space and budget.
I will select plants that will thrive in your specific environment and soil conditions, providing you with a range of seasonal interests and an improved garden structure through planting
Supply and Plant
We offer a supply and plant service , ensuring that the new plants are correctly positioned and planted
Garden Walkabouts
This service is suitable for reasonably mature gardens and is the perfect way to explore ideas and gain expert advice without the expense of a full garden design .
A lot can be achieved by simply walking round the garden, I can provide straightforward, experienced guidance on design challenges, layout improvements and plant maintenance helping you make confident decisions to get the best from your garden.
This can lead on to my providing you with planting plans or ideas of suitable materials or structures
Specifications and Full Costing
Successful projects rely on clear specifications and realistic budgets. I prepare detailed documents covering hard and soft landscaping, materials, and planting.
With accurate costings and construction specifications, you can plan with confidence, avoiding surprises and ensuring smooth delivery from concept through to completion.

Detailed Questionnaire
Every project begins with a structured questionnaire to understand the client’s needs, style preferences, and budget. This ensures that the design is tailored from the very start.

Site Visit
Alistair visits the garden to assess the space, take measurements, and identify opportunities and challenges. This on-site evaluation provides the foundation for a practical and creative design.

Designs and Specifications
Designs, planting plans, construction specifications and estimated costings can then be prepared to cover your specific requirements. Clients receive clear documents that outline how the garden will look and function.
